April 7th.

Beach clean on the beach.

After the Easter weekend our beaches will probably need a good clean up. We will collect the litter and see what we find. We will also enjoy our walk along the shoreline, keeping an eye out for wildlife.

May 5th.

Planting and mini beast spotting.

By now our seeds will be ready to plant in the ground. We will see what creepy crawlies we can find in the trees and undergrowth around us.

June 2nd.At Far Ings NNR,

Barton on Humber, DN18 5RG. . 1 - 3 pm.

Pond dipping and owl pellet dissection.

We’ll head over to Far Ings Nature Reserve for our activities. Hopefully, we’ll find plenty of interesting bugs hiding in the ponds there. We’ll also be able to dissect some owl pellets to see what these beautiful birds have had on their menu.

Arrive in the morning if you want a pre meeting stroll and bring along a picnic lunch.

Far Ings Wildlife Watch group will join us for our annual beach session where we look at the wildlife which inhabits our coastline.

Moths.

Hopefully we can, carefully, catch some moths, identify them and have a closer look at these beauties.

Gibraltar Point NNR 7.30 - 9.30 am.

November 3rd.

Fungi, feeders and flowers.

At this time of year, we should be able to see a selection of fungi in our woodland. We’ll also make some bird feeders to help them through the winter. And, remember those flowers we pressed in August? Well, we’ll use them to make a cheering birthday or gift card.
